ASSISTED LIVING
Longs Creek Village (LCV), 402-274-5511, ~ A Good Samaritan Assisted Living Community. LCV is an assisted living facility offering 24 one and two-bedroom apartments. The Village provides 24-hour staff supervision and a variety of supportive services. LCV enables adults with special needs to live full and independent lives.
NURSING HOME
The Good
Samaritan Center, (402) 274-4954, is a 112-bed nursing facility.
In addition to 24-hour nursing care, the center provides adult day care service,
respite care services to surrounding areas and hospice care. The center also
has an Alzheimer's special care unit. The Good Samaritan Center is Medicare
skilled.
SENIOR CENTER
Auburn's Senior Center, located at #1, 1101 J Street, provides meals to senior citizens. Senior Citizens can enjoy card playing every Tuesday evening. Seniors can also enjoy playing a game of pool or snooker. Congregate meals are served at noon. $2.50 is the suggested donation for meals. The Senior Center also provides Auburn with Meals on Wheels. The new Auburn Memorial Library, located at 1810 Courthouse Avenue, opened its doors on March 9, 1996. It has a volume of 20,000 and an average annual circulation of 50,593. The library has two public access computers. The library is open 50 hours a week. The children's department has special programs throughout the year. The Auburn Memorial Library Foundation and Friends of the Auburn Memorial Library support the library. For more information, call (402) 274-4023. |
